Simplify the transportation of clinical samples with Mantacc Cary-Blair Transport Swabs.
Mantacc Cary-Blair Agar Gel Transport Swab

Optimize non-fastidious bacterial sample collection and transport:
About Cary-Blair Agar Gel
- Sodium chloride provides osmotic balance, preserving bacterial cell permeability.
- Sodium thioglycollate is a strong reducing agent that lowers redox potential, inhibiting oxidative damage.
- Disodium phosphate buffers the medium to maintain a stable alkaline pH optimal for bacteria.
- Calcium chloride supplies cations to preserve bacterial surface charge.
- Agar forms a solid gel matrix to support the bacterial sample.
- Demineralized water dissolves and evenly distributes the components.
About Sampling Swab
- Oropharyngeal polyester swabs for high volume mucus collection
- Recommended for detecting respiratory viruses and bacterial infections
- Safe, non-cytotoxic, and sterilized by EO sterilization process
- Ergonomic, slender, and flexible handles for minimal patient discomfort

【Expected Cultivation Experiment】
Recommended Quality Control Strains:
1. Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium ATCC 14028
2. Shigella flexneri ATCC 12022
Quality Control Conditions:
1. Aerobic atmosphere
2. 48 hours incubation
3. Incubation temperature: 20-25°C
Expected Quality Control Results:
1. Salmonella: Able to grow colonies on subculture media (blood agar, etc.) after passage culture in Cary-Blair medium.
2. Shigella: Able to grow colonies on subculture media after passage culture in Cary-Blair medium.
Based on the expected results of the above cultivation experiment, it can be confirmed that the Cary-Blair medium meets the performance standard requirements.
