The swab features a durable ABS handle and a nylon-fiber flocked tip designed for deep nasopharyngeal specimen collection. Its flexible shaft and ultra-soft flocked head ensure patient comfort during sampling while maintaining structural integrity for precise reach into the nasopharynx. The flocked fibers create a high surface area for superior cellular and viral particle absorption, ensuring optimal specimen retention and rapid elution into transport media or test buffers. Instructions

[Instructions for use]

1) Peel apart the sterile package.

2) Tilt the patient's head back 70°, gently insert the swab through the nostril parallel to the palate until resistance is met. Insertion depth approximates the nostril-to-ear distance, ensuring contact with the nasopharynx.

3) Rotate the swab gently against the nasopharyngeal wall for several seconds to absorb secretions. If obstruction (e.g., deviated septum) occurs, withdraw and repeat the process in the opposite nostril using the same swab.

4) Slowly withdraw the swab while rotating it. Collect from both nostrils only if the swab tip remains unsaturated after initial sampling.

5) Place the swab tip-first into the transport tube. Snap the handle at the 80mm breakpoint by bending or cutting, ensuring the swab fits snugly. Securely tighten the cap to prevent leakage or contamination.
